East Tennessee // Honest gap
We don't rent the Corvette. Here's what we'd hand you instead.
The C8 Corvette is one of the best sports cars in the world. We don't have it. The Supra is our modern halo — not a Corvette, but the closest we have.

You searched for Chevrolet Corvette
We don't rent that. Try the 2021 Toyota Supra 3.0 Premium.
We'll be direct: the C8 Corvette is a legitimately better sports car than the Supra. Mid-engine, 490+ hp, a chassis that GM spent decades perfecting, available in Z06 and ZR1 forms that are genuinely exotic in their performance. The Supra is a very good sports car; the Corvette is a world-class one. What the Supra can offer is the same class of driving experience — modern turbocharged RWD sports car with a BMW-tuned chassis that handles East Tennessee's roads as well as the trip requires — without the Corvette's price and availability constraints on the rental market. For Tail of the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway, the Supra is enough. If you want a Corvette specifically, Turo is the right path.

Honest: the Corvette is the better sports car
We're not going to pretend the Supra is equivalent to the C8 Corvette. The Corvette is genuinely world-class — GM's engineers have been perfecting the platform for seven decades, and the C8's mid-engine layout gives it dynamics the Supra's front-engine design can't match.
The Supra is what we have. It's an excellent sports car — 382 hp, BMW-co-developed chassis, ZF 8-speed, rear-wheel drive, and a driving experience that satisfies exactly what Tail of the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway demand. If you book it expecting a Supra, you'll have a great day. If you book it expecting a Corvette substitute, you'll feel the gap.
For a Corvette in East Tennessee, Turo is the answer
Corvettes appear on Turo in the Knoxville/Maryville area — C7 Grand Sports and occasionally C8 Stingrays from private owners. The Turo process for a Corvette rental is more complex than booking from us (owner availability, higher insurance requirements, limited booking windows), but it's the right resource if the Corvette specifically is what you're after.
National chains at TYS do not carry Corvettes.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Supra a fair substitute for the Corvette?
For most East Tennessee driving trips — yes. The Dragon and Cherohala are 30-mph roads (legally) where the top-speed advantage of a Corvette is irrelevant. The Supra's 382 hp and BMW chassis handle every corner both roads offer without being strained. The subjective experience of a C8 mid-engine is better; the practical experience of a Supra on these roads is more than sufficient.
What about the C7 Corvette?
Same answer. We don't carry C7s either. The Supra competes more closely with a C7 Stingray than with a C8 — comparable power, both front-engine, comparable weight class. Still a compromise vs. the Corvette, but the gap is smaller.
Do you plan to add a Corvette to the fleet?
It's a legitimate aspiration. The C8 in particular would be a natural fit. Nothing to announce currently — fleet additions depend on a combination of availability, economics, and how well a vehicle fits our use case.
Can I take the Supra on Tail of the Dragon?
Yes. The Dragon is what the Supra is built for. 382 hp, rear-wheel drive, BMW chassis — it handles US-129's 318 corners effortlessly at the 30 mph speed limit and has real reserves if you're pushing.
Can I pick this up if I'm staying in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge?
Yes. Our pickup is near TYS in Maryville/Alcoa. From Gatlinburg it's about 50 minutes; from Pigeon Forge or Sevierville it's 40–45 minutes. Many guests pick up at TYS on arrival and drive the Supra directly to their mountain destination.
