West Knoxville is Knoxville's second commercial center and its largest residential zone — stretching from the Bearden/Rocky Hill area at the inner edge through Cedar Bluff, Turkey Creek, and Farragut to Hardin Valley at the western boundary. Drive865 serves the entire corridor with two pickup points: TYS at the southern end of the zone (roughly equidistant from Cedar Bluff and Farragut) and Maryville at the southern edge, 25 minutes further on US-321.

The I-40/I-75 interchange near Cedar Bluff is the geographic heart of West Knoxville — most residents are within 10 minutes of it. That interchange also means easy highway access in every direction: south toward TYS and Maryville (and beyond to the Dragon), east toward downtown, north toward I-75 and Oak Ridge, and west toward Lenoir City and the rural corridor.

For most West Knoxville renters, TYS pickup is the practical default: take I-40 west to I-140 south, arrive at Economy Lot C in 20 minutes. For renters whose trips are pointed toward the Smokies — the majority of Drive865 bookings — Maryville pickup saves time and positions you on the right road already.

West Knoxville is 75 minutes from Tail of the Dragon, 70 minutes from Cades Cove, and 80 minutes from Gatlinburg. These are all day-trip distances. The BRZ or WRX STI from a 7am West Knox pickup arrives at Deals Gap by 8:15 — early enough to avoid the weekend convoy crowds that build by mid-morning.

For a multi-day trip, West Knoxville is a reasonable base relative to the airport: store your bags at a Bearden or Farragut hotel, rent the car for two or three days, and make day trips south and east each morning. The Maryville pickup makes this easier — you're already headed in the right direction when you start.

Norris Lake is the less-obvious West Knox road trip: 50 minutes north on I-75. Anderson County roads around the lake are low-traffic two-lanes through rolling Tennessee hill country. Not the Dragon's technical challenge, but a genuinely pleasant drive with the Miata top down and a destination at the end.

Bearden (Kingston Pike from I-40 west to Papermill) is the inner-ring neighborhood — closest to downtown, most walkable, best restaurant and bar density in West Knox. Bearden renters are about 25 minutes from TYS and 25 minutes from Maryville — roughly equidistant, choose based on trip direction.

Hardin Valley (north of I-40, accessed via Pellissippi Pkwy/TN-162) is one of the fastest-growing areas in the corridor. It's close to I-75 north and TYS via the parkway — about 20 minutes to the airport. Tech workers from the UT Research Park zone are frequent Drive865 renters.
