What Pigeon Forge visitors need from a rental
Pigeon Forge is a destination with a split audience: families with kids doing Dollywood and the Smokies, and adults who pair the resort strip with the mountain roads east and south of town.
Dollywood parking logistics
If you're pairing Dollywood with a Smokies day, plan which direction you exit. East toward Gatlinburg opens up the Newfound Gap route to Clingman's Dome. South from Sevierville connects to US-129 and the Dragon in about 90 minutes.
The 40-minute pickup run from TYS
TYS to Pigeon Forge is a clean run up US-441. Pick up the car at TYS and you're at Dollywood Lane in 40 minutes. No traffic routing required if you arrive mid-morning or after 7pm.
Alternatively, our Maryville pickup is 35 minutes from Pigeon Forge via US-321. For guests not flying in, the Maryville pickup eliminates the airport detour entirely.

Can I drive to the Smokies from Pigeon Forge in a rental?
Yes. The Sugarlands entrance to GSMNP is about 10 minutes south of Pigeon Forge on US-441. All Drive865 vehicles are allowed in the park.
