The drill is the same on either channel. After landing at TYS, follow the directions in your trip confirmation. Code and exact placement arrive there. We also send a photo of the car once it's in place.

There's no rental counter, no key exchange, no waiting in line. You walk up, open the lockbox, and drive out. Domestic and international arrivals both work fine.

Whether you booked on Turo or on Drive865.com, none of that changes. Same pickup, same lockbox format, same communication style.

Fly-in guests tend to be one-trip-planners. They've booked flights and hotels; the car is the last piece. When they compare the Turo listing to booking direct and see the same car for 10–25% less (on the same lockbox handoff), switching makes sense.

The other thing that matters at an airport: communication speed. If your flight is delayed and you need to adjust your pickup window, a direct booking means you're texting the hosts directly, not going through Turo's messaging layer. We respond fast either way, but there's no platform in the middle on a direct booking.

Multi-day airport rentals also accumulate the savings quickly. A five-day rental that's 15% cheaper is a real number when you're also paying for flights and lodging.
