Turo for Dollywood — family vans and sports cars from TYS.

Dollywood draws two groups. Families with kids who want the theme park and need the logistics simple — car seats, strollers, gear, and everyone in one vehicle. And adults who mix the park with a Tennessee mountain road trip, because Pigeon Forge is 40 minutes from the Foothills Parkway and an hour from the Dragon.

For families: the Odyssey or NV Passenger. The Odyssey's power sliding doors make loading easier, and the seats fold down for gear. The NV Passenger is the right call if you have a group larger than 7 or you're combining with another family.

For adults: the Supra is the most-booked sports car at TYS when the destination is Pigeon Forge. Guests land, drive to Dollywood, and then spend the second day on the Foothills Parkway. The BRZ and WRX GT work the same itinerary for guests who prefer a lighter, more driver-focused experience.

Dollywood trips often have timing flexibility — people extend a day if the park is good, or cut out early if it's crowded. When you book direct, adjusting your rental dates or return time is a text message to us. Going through Turo requires navigating the trip-change flow and platform approval.

Multi-day Dollywood-plus-mountains itineraries are also where the price gap matters most. A three-day rental on the Odyssey is noticeably cheaper direct than on Turo. The lockbox pickup at TYS is identical, the car is identical, and the hosts are the same people.

The drive is simple. Alcoa Highway north to US-441 through Sevierville and into Pigeon Forge. Dollywood Lane is well-marked. The whole run from baggage claim to the park entrance is typically under an hour, including the five-minute shuttle to Economy Lot C to get the car.

Parking at Dollywood: arrive before the park opens to get the first-row lots. Standard passenger vehicles (Odyssey, Supra, BRZ) have no issues. The NV Passenger is a full-size van and fits in designated oversized spots.
