Sevierville anchors the northern end of the Smokies Corridor — the tourism spine that runs from I-40 at Exit 407 through Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg and into Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The corridor itself is congested commercial highway for most of its length. The interesting driving starts when you leave it.

For families staying in Sevierville or Pigeon Forge, the question is almost always: how do we get into the park? The main park road from Gatlinburg (Newfound Gap Road) is easy mountain highway driving, nothing technical. Cades Cove and Roaring Fork are the secondary loops. The FJ Cruiser handles all three without drama, and its higher seating position is good on NPS single-lane roads.

For large families — six or seven seats, luggage, gear — the Odyssey solves every logistics problem the corridor creates. Easy parking in crowded Gatlinburg lots, sliding doors for kids next to curbs, and cargo room for a week of park supplies.
